Expecting Mothers

Congradulations!! You're expecting a baby!!!!!

But now your body is aching, skin is changing & you just want to relax!

Can I still enjoy my spa services?

You’re about to be really, really happy with this answer: Yes, you can get a facial while you’re pregnant! In fact, it can probably help with any skin issues you’re experiencing right now, like dryness, breakouts or puffiness. (Heck, afterward you may just have that pregnancy glow everyone talks about.)

Facials are safe during pregnancy as long as you stick to a basic cleansing facial with no bells and whistles, such as electric currents, chemical peels or light therapies.

Each pregnancy is different, so AWAYS ask your doctor before starting a home care skincare line, getting skincare or hair removal services.  I always recommend taking the first trimester off of services if possible.

My customized facials can be tailored towards expecting (and nursing) women!  I will use products that are good for your skin type and avoid ones that may be harmful once absord into your skin and enter the blood stream.  I will also avoid any essential oils,  you will be laying at an incline to avoid laying on your back, and avoid massaging in any areas that may trigger hormones.

We will want to aviod any electronic devices that will make contact with the skin.

Your skin will be more sensitive, so be vocal with me during your service about your comfort.  Steam, hot towels may be too warm and irritating, if you need your legs propped up higher, etc.  Please let me know!

Waxing & Sugaring:

These services are completely safe during pregnancy, as I have a large client base that comes to me for the first time while pregnant.  Once our growing bellies get to a certain point- shaving (legs, bikini/brazilian) at home becomes next to impossible.  Let me help you out!  I will position you to where you are comfortable during the service for easy hair removal- just keep in mind, when pregnant our hormones are crazy and we have an increase in blood flow, which causes our skin to be more sensitive.  so you may see an increase in redness and discomfort during pregnancy (even while you're on your period this can happen as well!)

keep in mind- sugaring is much better than waxing! even when pregnant!

Spray Tanning:

Great for Baby Shower, Maternity Photos, or just to feel better!

I recommend all pregnant women to wear nose filters; even though the service is quick, I don't want you to get the overspray of solution in the mucous membrances of your nostrils.

Baby Foot Peel is not recommended for pregnant and nursing mothers.
